Newish Book, "The Mysterious Death of Miss Jane Austen" by Lindsay Ashford

I am in the library and located this book, I will read it and share a review with all!

Speaking of libraries...

Does anyone else get overwhelmed in the library?  I imagine all the books are muttering to me as I pass the shelves, pick me, oh and pick me, you are going to miss out, I am a great novel.   So many books, so little time.

I have a NOOK and an IPAD but still love the actual books in my hand with the beautiful designed covers enticing me to take them home.

Walking into Barnes and Noble still gives me a sense of comfort, like a home away from home.  Grabbing interesting finds, heading to the Cafe and perusing which book or books I must bring home.

My ability to write without worrying about the laundry, cleaning or answering the phone is much more productive at B&N as well.  It was a fellow Janeite that recommended this method of writing
And it does truly help me remain focused on my task.

I promise to add more to the Blog as I find goodies, books and more...all usually related to our beloved Jane Austen

Happy Reading & Writing!

Back to the drawing board....

You may ask what the title of my blog is referring to in my life and the short answer is just about everything.  With the exception of my beautiful children and my hubby (aka my version of Mr. Darcy) many changes have taken place in my little world.

This very blog you are now visiting is a change, I have spent a few years blogging already under this title but it had been pushed aside after a year of turmoil.  But alas, I have happily returned to the blogging world after a one year hiatus!

I will also not be teaching everyday as I did this past last school year. My decision not to return wasn't made lightly, i loved my students, my fellow faculty and the parents but teaching along side a lead teacher was both challenging and eye opening for me.  Rather than go through the details, let me just state that we did not work as a team and no matter my efforts it was not going to change.  My desire to get back into the classroom is still there and I am confident that the right position will present itself and that it was the best decision I could make for myself.

The most heartbreaking change in my life was losing my mother this past year.  I had a mom that was always my personal cheerleader for anything and everything in my life.  I was her clever, could do anything daughter (of course my sister was also considered the same wonderful kind of person) and I always wanted to make her proud of what I was doing.  My life will never be the same and I know that, and grief can hit you at the most unlikely times...just when i am thinking i am doing well, something happens and i am reminded of that giant void where my mom's earthly presence existed.

In order to have a supportive family unit for my father and my family, we chose to sell our houses and built a brand new house for all of us to live.  Needless to say this has been a huge adjustment for all of us.  I will share more about this new adventure and major change another time.

I have also picked up my "Quill" again, delving back into my favourite world of Regency England.  The love for this time all stems from my favourite Novels written by the beloved Jane Austen.

My intentions for this blog is to share great books, blogs, great people to follow on twitter, websites and writing inspiration for my fellow Janeites.

Thank you for stopping by,

Susan
